What actually makes up an O-Studio?
There’s a question I get asked a lot now as we grow O-Studio:
What actually makes up an O-Studio?
It’s a fair question, because on the surface it can look like a mix of things people have seen before, a sauna here, a float there, maybe some recovery gear. But the reality is, it’s not just the individual pieces. It’s how they come together, and more importantly, why they’ve been brought together in the first place.
Bringing it all under one roof
If you look across the wellness industry, most businesses tend to specialise.
You’ve got float centres.
You’ve got sauna studios.
You’ve got contrast therapy setups.
You’ve got yoga and Pilates studios.
Each one does its thing well.
But what we saw early on was that real wellbeing doesn’t sit in just one of those buckets. It sits across all of them.
So the idea behind O-Studio was simple:
What if we brought the best, most effective, science-backed tools and services together into one place?
Not just for the sake of variety, but because they genuinely complement each other.
Float helps calm the nervous system.
Sauna and cold exposure support physical recovery and resilience.
Massage helps release tension and restore the body.
Compression, red light, breathwork, movement, all play a role.
Individually, they’re powerful.
Together, they’re something else entirely.
And importantly, we’ve been in this space for close to 10 years now. We’ve seen the trends come and go. We’ve watched what actually sticks, what customers come back for, and what delivers both outcomes and sustainable business performance.
That’s a big part of how O-Studio has been shaped.

The lens we make decisions through
One thing that probably doesn’t get talked about enough is that O-Studio isn’t just built around services. It’s built around a set of principles.
Our mission, vision, and values aren’t something that sit on a wall. They’re the lens we use to make decisions every day.
We’re trying to build something that does three things at once:
- Helps people feel and function better, mentally and physically
- Creates a genuinely enjoyable business for owners to run
- Stands the test of time financially
That balance matters.
Because a great wellness experience that isn’t financially viable won’t last.
And a profitable business that doesn’t genuinely help people isn’t something we’re interested in building.
We want both.
And we want owners to actually enjoy the journey. To build something they’re proud of, and that supports the lifestyle they want, not something that drains them.
Private spaces and communal spaces
When you walk into an O-Studio, one of the key things you’ll notice is that it’s not built around a single type of experience.
It’s built around choice.
Private spaces are a big part of that.
These include things like:
- Private float rooms
- Private sauna and ice bath rooms
- Massage rooms
- Red light therapy rooms
- Other individual private recovery tools
These spaces are about stepping away. Slowing things right down and giving people a chance to be on their own, reset, and recharge without any external noise.
Then on the other side, you’ve got the communal areas.
- Traditional saunas
- Steam rooms
- Cold plunge pools and ice baths
- Hot pools
- Recovery lounges
- Compression therapy
- On demand yoga, Pilates, and breathwork
These spaces bring a different energy.
They’re still calm, but there’s a sense of shared experience. People connecting, even if it’s just through being in the same space, going through something challenging or restorative.
That balance between private and communal is really important.
Some days, people need quiet and space.
Other days, they need connection and energy.
O-Studio is designed to give both.

What sits at the core
If you strip everything back, the real core of O-Studio isn’t the saunas, the floats, or the ice baths.
It’s the experience.
How someone feels from the moment they walk in, to the moment they leave.
Do they feel welcomed?
Do they feel understood?
Do they leave better than when they arrived?
Everything we do, from design to service delivery to follow-up, is built around that.
And that doesn’t happen by accident.
We’ve spent years developing systems and processes that support this. Training frameworks, customer journeys, and small details that might seem insignificant on their own but together create something consistent and high-quality.
Because consistency matters.
It’s what allows a studio to perform well.
It’s what builds trust with customers.
And it’s what allows the business to be financially sustainable over time.
Why it works
The recovery and wellness space is growing quickly. More people are becoming aware of how important it is to look after both their physical and mental health.
But with that growth comes noise.
New concepts. New trends. New ideas.
What we’ve tried to do with O-Studio is cut through that a bit.
Focus on what actually works.
What people come back for.
What delivers real outcomes.
And then build a model around it that is simple enough to operate well, but powerful enough to make a genuine difference.
Bringing it all together
So when people ask what makes up an O-Studio, the answer isn’t just a list of services.
It’s:
- A carefully selected suite of science-backed tools and experiences
- A balance between private recovery and communal connection
- A clear mission and set of values guiding decisions
- A strong focus on customer experience
- Proven systems that support both outcomes and performance
- And a long-term view of building something sustainable
At the end of the day, it’s about creating a space where people can step out of the noise of everyday life, even just for an hour, and move one step closer to feeling their best.
And if we can do that consistently, while building great businesses for our owners along the way, then we’re on the right track.
